Describe the need affecting the community.
Prior to initiation of the masters programs several Christian students were unable to undertake post-graduate studies due to the intense competition in the Indian educational scenario we reserve 50% of admission for Christians. If available it will permit all qualified Christians to take admission in the following: a. Human Research Development. b. Infrastructural requirement. c. Scholarship & Christian research development. This enables us to prepare Post-Graduate Christian teachers for the various mission schools. In order to offer quality education to them, there is a need to create quality infrastructure. We have been able to purchase equipment for the newly established Bio-technology department and will be purchasing expensive unaffordable equipment for other programs which will enhance the quality of these departments & their output and acquire Post Graduate qualifications. As per the statistics, Christians are a community which has lowest employment rate among all and requires need for improvement. Therefore, the need for Professional Studies.
How will this Advance project help to address the need?
1. By offering post graduate programs of studies we hope to enable young Christian well educated women to be in leadership positions, and also fulfill the need for Christian faculty in the college. 2. Through educated motherhood we will hope in the time to come, give meaning and leadership to the next generation. 3. The college environment will sensitize them to be sensitive to the needs of the less privileged and the marginalized. 4. The masters program in nutrition and food science, enables the women to be able to reach out to the community, and teach other women about health and nutrition. A. By offering these new career/research oriented courses. B. Young women students who wish to develop their career in these streams can offer completing their study program, enter the new emerging careers in the market. C. Up gradation of existing laboratories will help in improve quality. D. Initiate programs leading to career oriented studies with job opportunities.
Describe the primary goal of the project.
a. Initiation of programs and course in the new and upcoming scientific fields, thereby enabling the college to become a pioneering institution in the region offering these new career/research oriented courses. b. Women students who wish to develop their career in these streams can offer completing their study program, enter the new emerging careers in the market. c. Under-graduate students will have their separate laboratories, and classrooms which will enable them to conduct practices and theory lecturers independently. d. With scientific and Technological evolution in India, the need for staying relevant requires up gradation and modernization of equipment, training and development in the selected Areas. e. Professional Studies Program aims at educational empowerment leading to financial empowerment via generation of career opportunities. f. With the state striving to be center of technologies related activities, it will provide employment to women in the sector.
