  • Global Health 2017 Support for People Living with Disabilities - Recognizing that there are over 1 billion people in the world living with disabilities, the Global Health unit of Global Ministries continues to strategize ways in which we can expand our reach around the world.
  • Post-vocational Programs - Transitioning from pre-vocational work into paid community employment is another area where churches can help.
  • Pre-vocational Programs - University United Methodist Church in San Antonio, Texas, offers the Helping Hands day-habilitation prevocational program, serving 63 participants who do jobs like those at Royal Oak.
  • Resources for Disability Awareness Sunday - Four stories on church-based work have been collected by Lynn Swedberg, a consultant to the Disability Ministries Committee of the United Methodist Church.
  • Travis’ Story - Travis Walls is a church member with a disability who works several days a week with Fred.
